The Dräger Protex is a German post-war industrial respirator made in the 60s. There is very little information available about this mask and they are quite scarce. The Protex is an ancestor to the Dräger Simplex mask which would eventually be known as the father of the Israeli civilian gas masks. The mask uses a large flat filter that screws into the front of the mask. It's an unusual design and very different from many of the other German masks of that time.
